Not sure why… flicking through some old sketchbooks though, it seems the theme has followed me since uni, but i never quite took it out of sketchbook stage. I think this trail from my past has caught up with me and now demands to come out! Another source of inspiration must have been David Attenboroughs beautiful series Life in the Undergrowth that i watched years ago. Funny how the brain works, and what small seeds plant an idea that emerge years later.
In a time like this, in a world where history yet again seems to repeat itself, I find it comforting to observe the reason we can live here in the first place. The smallest elements of the eco system allows us to keep on having our petty fights over power and resources. Small but incredibly complex societies that ensure livelihood instead of destroying it with greed and hunger for more.
