My first commission! A friend of mine just became a grandmother and wanted a portrait of the new family treasure, this is little Thea. i choose the reference photo which shows her slightly neutral, not too much smile, but still happy. Grandma Gry was pleased with the result, and ordered another one!

What did I learn
- Do not try to pain fabric wrapped around an object without an image reference. If I can’t find a reference photo, improvise with objects in the house!
- Babies have much softer shading and colors, try to avoid using the darkest colors for shading
- It’s great to use different colors on the skin, not only flesh color. The bright cyan adds life.
