Rock men

Spending 3 weeks in the pristine nature of NZ does something to your soul. Wandering along the Lake Hawea seafront, I find an endless supply of rocks and pebbles. The lines and shape of the pebbles has recognizable patterns, they are little faces with a lot of character! I already worked this way before, with my Little accidents and Mustard ‘Overheards’ illustrations, last time was also whilst traveling through New Zealand, so it seems this is just the relationship NZ pebbles and I have with each other.

To transfer the drawing to the large canvas I used Renee’s nifty little projector.
