Digital landscaping

June 2026, and an exhibition in my local community. We were 5 ladies who made it happen. Through the process of doing this we got to know each other and our other neighbours better. I believe it was an addition for a warm and inclusive community. Culture creates meeting points for people, reasons to meet, talk and enjoy each others company.
In the image, the sun rises over the field in Osmundsvåg, where I live. Sheep graze here to this day, as they have done for hundreds of years, maybe even longer. In the background is the mountain “Gangeskarhornet”, in the middle the little peak, “Jeremiashaugen”. The meadow has flower designs from embroideries created over a hundred years ago. These women lived in Osmundsvåg. The embroidered works were on display in the exhibition, and will be a part of another blog entry to come.
I printed 10 A5 postcards from this design to see if it was something that people would want. I sold all of them, so I think i will print some more, and perhaps design other similar motives.
